Hello! It's me Stevey aka Stephen Robertson

I have over 18 years experience in designing and building for the world wide web, I am currently working in London as a Senior Interaction Designer at the Ministry of Justice.

Current role responsibilities include:

  • Understand user needs and how to design services that meet them

  • Design seamless user journeys that span multiple transactions

  • Create and iterate prototypes to test and communicate ideas

  • Work with user researchers and front-end developers to turn concepts into user-centred services

  • Identify and design scalable, cross-government design patterns and standards

  • Lead discussions at a departmental level and successfully negotiate for usability improvements to services

  • Ensure that the design of services is consistent, both internally and with the rest of GOV.UK

  • Contribute to cross-government interaction design patterns and standards

  • Contribute to the wider community of designers in government

  • Be the authority on interaction design for a service
