Outcome:
Designing the ‘Electric Proms’ website for the mobile space. This was the first time the BBC had a website specifically designed for ‘higher end’ mobile phones. I designed three versions of the site in xHTML, QVGA (Nokia) and iPhone. Working alongside the BBC Mobile team to ensure the BBC brand remained consistent throughout, and also using their experience, knowledge and research to guide me through the design process. During the build phase I liaised with the mobile producer and technical experts to ensure all elements work, any technical issues were resolved. We introduced new components to the site using AJAX, which was a first for mobile.
I also helped design the main web portal, and created batch processes to help populate content for the website.
